The 2015 Marseille Boat Show, Les Nauticales, recorded 30,200 visitors – a sharp drop in numbers compared with last year’s 37,600. The event was held in La Ciotat from March 14-22.
Disappointing attendance was attributed to very bad weather conditions on the first Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and the whole of the final weekend.
Of the 500 boats exhibited, there were 40 new models in water and on land, some of which were French previews and others that were presented on land at the leading winter shows such as Paris’ Nautic and boot Düsseldorf.
The general feeling was that Les Nauticales supported the first signs of recovery seen at the large autumn and winter boat shows.
Les Nauticales, organised by Marseilles’ local authorities, claims to be the fourth largest boat show in France in terms of attendance.
