The marine division of American Suzuki Motor Corp (ASMC) last Friday announced several changes to its executive staff. The changes took place in the outboard builder’s OEM and consumer marine divisions.

George “Gus” Blakely, who previously managed the Boat Builder Group, was named Manager, Sales Planning, for Suzuki Marine. Blakely, who has been with the company for 21 years, will now be responsible for both dealer and OEM sales and marketing as well as developing business with new dealers and boat builders.

Max Kelley, who has been with the company since 2002, was named Manager of the Boat Builder Business Group. Kelley will be responsible for national sales to the OEM market.

Todd Flores will take on sales responsibility as the Western Region District Sales Manager for the Boat Builder Business and will continue to assist the Dealer Operations Business Group.

David Greenwood was named Manager, OEM Sales Application Engineering and Product Quality. Greenwood, who has been with Suzuki since 1986, was most recently Suzuki Marine’s Product Planning Manager.

“Our continued growth in the marine market has generated greater opportunity for our company, and for our people,” said Takashi Futamura, director marine division for ASMC in a statement. “These changes will allow us to better take advantage of market opportunities as we continue to develop our dealer network, grow our boat builder business and introduce new and innovative outboard motors.”
