Blu Martin shipyard in Italy, a brand of Sea Engineering Group, has announced the launch next summer 2016 of an extensively revisited version of its Sea Top 13.90. The newcomer retains key features of the model with additional modern style and greater attention to the comfort of guests on board.
Measuring 13.9m and over 4m in width full beam, the new Sea Top 13.90 includes two or three cabins, depending on the version, and can host up to 12 people. The interior also comprises two bathrooms, a galley and dinette.
The revisited model retains the original characteristics, including its high performance hull. The boat is capable of a cruising speed of 29ks and a top speed of 31k and registers the lowest fuel consumption levels for its category (95 L/h at cruising speed with the standard Volvo Penta IPS 600 engine), the company claims.
Inspired by the automotive industry, the new design encompasses the bridge, which accommodates all the instrumentation displays and improves ergonomics and steering comfort. The stern bitts have been repositioned for greater ease of use while mooring.
In addition, the swim platform astern has been shortened by a few centimetres in the central part, so as to completely eliminate any spray-back, in addition to endowing it with a contemporary look.
Three engines are available: in addition to the Volvo Penta IPS 600 (2 x 435 hp), it is possible to install a Volvo Penta IPS 500 (2 x 375 hp) or a Volvo Penta D6-D/P (2 x 400 hp).
The new model will be completed by July 2016, and will be officially launched in France, at the opening of the boating season, during the September 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival.
Sea Engineering acquired the Blu Martin Yachts brand in 2013. Based in Cassina Rizzardi, a town in the province of Como (in Lombardy) Blu Martin operates a 1,500sq m production facility.
