Cantiere Navale Italia (CNI) has presented Askari 657 HT, a new 19m yacht that joins its Kifaru line. The new Luca Dini-designed yacht follows on the 43-footer Kifaru Baby. The Kifaru line comprises yachts ranging 43ft to 90ft.
Kifaru Askari 657 is built of Peraluman 5083 H111 aluminium and completely customizable. The company has developed designs for both open and hard top version.
With a beam of 6m, the boatbuilder says she has been designed to provide a below decks liveability equivalent to much larger yachts.
The proposed layout foresees a large salon on the main deck that, thanks to the hard top configuration, can be completely enclosed on all four sides and turn into a true internal habitat complete with air conditioning. Alternatively, it can be left open, creating a living space that merges with the on-deck cockpit.
Accommodation is provided with three double cabins below deck with the owner’s forward, each with its own bathroom, and a full equipped galley. The fourth double cabin with bathroom has a separate entrance for a crew of two.
The Askari 657 is foreseen to be powered with over 1,500 hp, with the possibility to choose between either in-line or Arneson transmissions. It is estimated a 45ks maximum speed.
Nico Laude, a founding member of Cantiere Navale Italia, explains: “This year, after being bought by Cantiere Navale Italia, Kifaru Yachts opened a new facility in Carrara and fully entered into the circle of shipyards.”
