Nordship Yachts has announced that Nordship 430 DS Classic will make her world premier at the 2014 Hanseboot boat show in Hamburg. This is the first Nordship 430 DS Classic, which was built as a project with centre cockpit and lifting keel, for a client that has already been sailing a Nordship 430 DS.
The wish of the owner was to have a Nordship 430 with even more space and comfort for four persons, which at the same time would have a traditional centre cockpit and a hydraulic lifting keel.
Due to the classic stern, it was possible to move the interior further backwards, which give space for a bigger owner’s area in front of the yacht. As a result, it allowed for a large toilet compartment to the port and a separate shower to starboard, both “en-suite”.
The passage to the aft cabin goes through the large galley aft of the deck saloon in the port side. The two-sided galley give space for extra size fridges and other kitchen hardware wanted.
In the starboard side, the well-known Nordship TV saloon is placed; from where there is access to the aft toilet. The builder says that aa larger toilet compartment with a shower is possible.
With the hydraulic lifting keel in the upper possession the draft is reduced to 1,3 metre, and the yacht can dry out resting on the keel and the twin rudders.
In addition, the yacht features a 230Volt 3,5 KW alternator from Dometic, which has been mounted direct on the main engine, a rotating crane instead of David’s to support the dinghy, and satellite receiver for TV and Radio from Raymarine.
