Dutch boatbuilder Steeler Yachts has added three new production halls to its manufacturing facility in Steenwijk. The expanded space will be used for interior production, technical installations and boat painting.
The yard says it can now manufacture six yachts at the same time, up from two.
Steeler Yachts produces aluminium and steel-hulled yachts. Its Panorama 46FF (Flat Floor) was awarded 2015 European Powerboat of the Year. The model is also available in a 48ft version.
The Panorama 46FF features a stem-to-stern floor of 45sq m and has a 360-degree view from the raised bridge.
Hans Webbink, Steeler Yachts CEO, calls the Panorama “a fast moving apartment with a sun deck”.
His steel-hulled boat boasts a one-level, bow-to-stern living space, flanked by vast windows, under a flybridge deck.
In 2014, based on the drawings alone, the company sold two Panorama-46FF yachts and it is now working on a 53-footer, with a 65-footer on the horizon.
The boatbuilder claims the 46FF offers, across a length of 14m, the same inside volume as a 21.3 m (70ft).
Steeler Yachts has been nominated for the 2016 European Power Boat awards for its NG43 Offshore at the Canners Yachts Show.
The boatbuilder plans to launch the NG36 and NG57 in 2016. These two models are currently under construction.
