The EV division will handle sales, service, aftersales support, events and more
Vision Marine Technologies, the high-voltage marine propulsion and boat sales specialist, has announced a dedicated electric boating division within the newly acquired Nautical Ventures Group.
The division will provide customers with a complete electric vehicle (EV) experience, including sales, service, aftersales support, events, electric toys and watersports products.
The division is built around Vision Marine’s E-Motion electric propulsion system and electric boat lineup, which form the core of its EV strategy. It will also feature premium water toys such as Seabob, after Nautical Ventures renewed its dealer agreement with Cayago Americas Inc.
Seabob is known for luxury water toys and is recognised internationally as a premium brand for high-end water equipment. It has been one of Nautical Ventures’ best-selling premium water toys. Most sales came from the F5S model, which has now been replaced by the new F9 series.
Market Growth and Opportunity
Vision Marine says the recreational boating industry is experiencing strong growth:
- North American market valued at $10.06bn in 2024
- Projected to reach $15.0bn by 2033
- Growth rate of approximately 4.5% per year
According to Vision, the watersports and accessories segment makes up over one-third of market usage. The watercraft accessories market is expected to nearly double from $8.2bn in 2025 to $15.7bn by 2035, growing at 6.1% annually.
“Our vision goes far beyond propulsion. We are building a complete electric ecosystem for boaters-covering sales, service, aftersales care, and on-water experiences,” says Alexandre Mongeon, chief executive officer and co-founder of Vision Marine Technologies.
“Through Nautical Ventures, we can unite electric boats, toys, and watersports equipment under one roof. The renewed Seabob dealer agreement demonstrates the type of premium, innovative products we are bringing into this division to complement our boat offerings and deliver unmatched value to consumers and partners.”
The new EV division will also serve as a platform for future partnerships with other leading EV companies. Using Florida as a starting point, Nautical Ventures plans to use its nine retail and service locations to expand electric boating across the country.
