French boatbuilder Astus has announced the launch of Astus 16.5, a new trailerable trimaran.
The new model is the first unit that result from the partnership between the boatyard and French naval architecture studio VPLP.
With 4.9m LOA, Astus 16.5 has been designed to provide easy handling, portability and performance.
This trimaran features telescopic floats which make transport possible without any dismantling. Once the floats are retracted, Astus 16.5 meets the all-road gauge requirements.
In addition, this new model has a more modern shape and a sportier line, with harmonious curves and narrow water entry.
She also features a large storage locker and a sabre board for ease of use and limited weight for dinghy-style use. An outboard motor can be mounted for coastal trips.
The Astus 16.5 is available in club and sport version.
