Session to take place on Wednesday 14 at METS2012,Amsterdam RAI
IBI’s sister title European Boatbuilder has teamed up with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) to organise the fourth edition of the Workshop on New Technologies and Manufacturing. The training session is set to take place at this year’s METS Trade Show on November 14.
Workshop on New Technologies and Manufacturing is tailored for boatbuilders operating internationally. This year’s session will feature topics such as future yacht design, natural fibres, noise reduction, pre-pregs in production building, quality assurance and boat-building regulations in China. The Workshop’s primary objective is to discuss available technologies and business practices that are easy to implement in manufacturing.
Confirmed speakers to date include Van Peteghem / Lauriot-Prévost (VPLP), the naval Architects responsible for designing the world-record-breaking Banque Populaire V, Uli Heinemann (IMCI) speaking on Quality Assurance and Andrew Spendiff of composite specialists, Amber Composites.
