Nordhavn Europe, a trawler boat specialist has unveiled the latest detailed 3D renderings for its new N59 Coastal Pilot.
The company says the new Coastal Pilot “is designed to build on the group’s reputation for building the finest passagemaking trawler yachts in the world, with a model tailored specifically towards the many Nordhavn customers who spend more time cruising coastlines than crossing oceans”.
N59’s semi displacement hull will enable it to cruise at modest top speeds in the 18-20 knot range in more friendly conditions, while still maintaining the capability to comfortably make long offshore passages of 1,000+ miles at slower speeds. A “CE – Category A” unlimited offshore rating gives it the highest safety standards.
The hull moulds for the Coastal Pilot have now been produced at the group’s South Coast factory in Xiamen, China, and plans are on track for the first hull to lay up by the end of February.
Neil Russell, director at Nordhavn Europe, comments: “This is an exciting new model for Nordhavn and builds nicely on our existing range. We find that the vast majority of our owners are only ever looking to coastal cruise in their displacement Nordhavns, despite being proud of their boat’s capability of crossing oceans.
The N59 Coastal Pilot was designed with this fact in mind, and brings some fantastic new features without sacrificing any of the world-class safety, ruggedness and long distance reliability that we pride ourselves on at Nordhavn.”
Nordhavn Europe is the European office for Pacific Asian Enterprises, builders of the Nordhavn line of trawler yachts ranging from 40ft-120ft in length.
