Overblue Yachts has announced the addition of 44 Wide and 54 Penthouse to its product line. The Italian yacht-maker says the new models respond to a market demand.
“Volume, normal living dimensions and incredibly spacious flybridge are the key selling points of these craft which combine all the aspects of the power catamaran and a modern houseboat,” Rok Babarovic, business development manager at Overblue Yachts told IBI, adding that the market seems to be more open to the Overblue concept “and has created demand for additional models which is why we have developed the new models.”
With a length overall of 13m, Overblue 44 Wide (OB 44W) features 5.4m beam, one level floor, and three optional layout for two, three and four cabins providing accommodation for guests in four, six and seven berths, respectively.
The new Overblue 54 Penthouse (OB54P) is similar in length and beam but with two layout option featuring three and four cabins to provide accommodation in six and eight berths, respectively.
Headquartered in Cologne, Italy, Overblue Yachts entered the market in 2015 with two original models, Overblue 44 (OB44) and Overblue 54 (OB54). Today, the company produces five yachts ranging from 13m-22m in length.
“Overblue has been present with its OB44 on four boat shows since the world premiere in Cannes and has since appointed over 28 dealers around the world as well as nearly sold out production for 2016,” Babarovic told IBI. These sales include seven orders for OB44, three contracts for OB54 and one order for OB64. “We still have to sell two 44s or one 54 to fill up 2016,” concludes Babarovic.
OB64 is Overblue flagship yacht. The company has confirmed that hull #1 of this 22.4m vessel has been sold to a Turkish client and the yacht will be presented to the market in May 2017.
