NMMA recognises companies for excellence in customer service
More than 1,300 US boat dealers have been recognised by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) with its 2018 Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Award and just over 900 were recognised for excellence in customer service.
The awards go to dealerships that achieved an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90% or higher in customer satisfaction over the program year. The data is collected as part of a survey of new boat or engine customers during the calendar year. For the 2018 awards, more than 155,000 customers responded to the survey.
“Boat dealers play a critical role in strengthening participation in recreational boating,” said Robert Newsome, senior vice president of strategy, engineering standards and membership for NMMA. “We congratulate the 2018 boat dealer CSI Award recipients for delivering superior sales and service to their customers and creating an exceptional boat ownership experience.”
NMMA’s CSI Awards also honour boat and engine manufacturers; 54 were companies were recognised at the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) for meeting the same 90% customer satisfaction level.
