US builder expands capacity at its in Neodesha, Kansas plant

Cobalt Boats is expanding its capacity at the Neodesha, Kansas factory where it has built boats for the past 50 years to meet market demands.

In a company statement, the project is said to total nearly US$7m and will expand capacity while improving operating efficiencies and quality.

“This is an exciting announcement for our team, dealers, and customers as we invest in increasing capacity to meet customer demand,” said Shane Stanfill, Cobalt VP of operations. “We believe these investments are ensuring our ability to sustain our world-class operations here in Neodesha.”

New equipment has already been ordered and ground breaking is expected “in early 2019”, according to the company.
