Canadian Outdoor Recreation Roundtable to represent mutual interests of more than 12 separate trade organisations

Representatives from a dozen Canadian trade organisations focused on different forms of outdoor recreation have aligned to form the Canadian Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (CORR), an advocacy coalition designed to unite industry stakeholders behind policies and legislative reforms focused on economic growth, environmental protection, infrastructure development and the national promotion of outdoor recreation opportunities.

CORR members, including the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the Canadian Sportfishing Industry Association, the Motorcycle and Moped Industry Council and the Canadian RV Dealers Association, collectively represent thousands of businesses that generated an estimated $24.6bn in economic activity in Canada each year, generating an estimated 472,713 direct jobs, $7.1bn in taxes and $52.1bn in total revenues.

“Protecting, promoting and enhancing recreational experiences on Canada’s public lands and waterways are the core values for those of us who work in the outdoor recreation industry,” said Sara Anghel, president of the National Marine Manufacturers Association Canada (NMMA Canada).
