UK firm adds Simrad and Lowrance brands to its portfolio of products
The Marine Leisure Division of EP Barrus in the UK has expanded its product portfolio with the addition of Navico’s Simrad and Lowrance brands.
The UK-based engine importer and distributor entered the marine chandlery market last year, when it took on the Besto Lifesavers range of marine safety and life-saving equipment. Since then it has secured distribution of 20 new brands, which complement the existing range of parts and accessories distributed by Barrus.
Simrad marine electronics are aimed at powerboats, sports boats and day boats. The systems enable boaters to navigate confidently and safely with intuitive, multi-touch controls.
With four series of best-in-industry fishfinders and fishfinder/chart plotter combos, Lowrance systems target the needs and budgets of both weekend anglers and touring professionals.
“With every Mercury and Mariner SmartCraft compatible outboard engine, these systems offer an interface that is easy to navigate with engine data delivered through Mercury’s VesselView Link, so will sit perfectly alongside our range of outboard engines to provide our specialist dealer network with complete engine packages,” says Ben Allen, general manager for the Marine Leisure Division, EP Barrus Ltd.
Simrad and Lowrance products are available to order from Barrus with immediate effect.
