Asian yacht dealership adds SACS and Burgess Yachts to its portfolio of brands
Boat Lagoon Yachting (BLY), one of Asia’s leading boat dealers and distributors, has expanded its portfolio with the addition of Italian RIB maker SACS and international brokerage house Burgess.
BLY already represents Princess Yachts and Beneteau brands Jeanneau and Prestige in the region.
At the 2019 Singapore Yacht Show (SYS) 2019, BLY held its largest number of premieres so far. These included the Asian debut of the Princess Y85, F45 and R35, the show debut of the Princess F70 and Jeanneau NC33, and the Asia premiere of the SACS Rebel 47.
As for Burgess, BLY is representing the international brokerage house in Phuket and more details of this new partnership will be released later.
BLY is active across five markets – Thailand, where it is headquartered, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Maldives. For Princess Yachts it acts across all five markets while for SACS it is serving all the markets except the Maldives. For the Beneteau brands, BLY covers Jeanneau in Thailand and Singapore and Prestige in Thailand.
In addition to its boat distribution activities, the BLY group, which was established in 1994, also provides brokerage, charter, yacht management and maintenance services. The group operates the Phuket Boat Lagoon marina, which has 180 wet berths up to 42m (140ft), a boat yard with three travel lifts of up to 80 tonnes, a large hardstand area and a dry stack.
SACS, which is based near Milan, was established in 1989 and manufactures around 100 RIBs a year in two model ranges – Strider and Rebel. The Strider range includes three models of 7m, 9m and 10m and offers speeds up to 65kt. The Rebel range has three models up to 17m (55ft) and are intended to provide more comfort and speeds up to 40kt.
The Jeanneau NC 33 and Merry Fisher 895, which was also exhibited by BLY, are said to be ideal day or short-period family cruising boats for enjoying time on the water.
