Dutch builder grows presence in Mediterranean waters

OK Yachts, the Mallorca-based marine service company, will represent Bekkers Yachts of the Netherlands in Spain, Greece and Croatia. Bekkers calls the partnership a “significant milestone in its expansion” into Mediterranean waters.

Bekkers Yachts’ spokeswoman Dorien Bilterijst tells IBI OK Yachts will act as a dealer, charterer and service point of the sporty, high-end aluminium watercraft Bekkers Yachts makes. For starters, the 13.7m Azur 45HT, a family weekender, and later, the 18.9m Carib 62HT, a Hard Top weekender with a high-end outdoor galley.

Bekkers targets the superyacht sector and is a relative newcomer to a fast-growing subsector of the Dutch high-end weekender yachts. The Azur 45HT will be at the Palma International Boat Show from April 25-28.
