The blaze over the weekend gutted the 14,000sq ft building in Dorchester County, South Carolina
It took two local fire departments an hour to bring under control a fire that destroyed the Tooling Shop and damaged an administrative building at Key West Boats in Dorchester County, South Carolina over the weekend.
Officials believe lightning caused the blaze, which gutted the 14,000sq ft building where approximately 20 boats were moved from the building and saved, according to WCBD-TV.
Key West employees were all back to work on Monday morning, owner Hutch Holseberg told the Summerville Journal Scene.
“Everybody is still at work they just got transferred into other buildings and disbursed to other plants,” Holseberg said.
Holseberg believes because of the fire’s intensity it could have been much worse and he gives a lot of credit to responding crews.
No one was injured in the fire and damage estimates were not available.
