US Midwest dealership to carry the full Hatteras line from 45ft-105ft and the Cabo line

Hatteras/Cabo Yachts has formed a partnership with SkipperBud’s in which the iconic family-owned string of 18 Midwest dealerships will have exclusive rights to the luxury brands in the Great Lakes region of the US.

Founded in 1959, and still run by the Pretasky family, SkipperBud’s has grown to become one of the larger sales, service and marina groups in the US and under the arrangement will carry the full Hatteras line from 45ft-105ft, and the Cabo line, starting with the new Cabo 41.

“This year, both Hatteras Yachts and SkipperBud’s are celebrating their 60th anniversaries,” said Hatteras/CABO Yachts president and CEO Kelly Grindle in a company release. “With its impressive depth of experience as a full-service dealership, along with its multiple locations, its close relationship with many of the marine industry’s premier brands, and its commitment to customer service, we know SkipperBud’s will be an outstanding representative for Hatteras and Cabo throughout its Midwestern territory.”

The Hatteras and Cabo lines should start showing up in SkipperBud’s locations this autumn, according to the statement.

“SkipperBud’s has been a yacht dealer throughout the Midwest and the Great Lakes for many years. We share many of the same values as Hatteras Yachts and we are excited to expand our product portfolio and showcase our experience in the industry to the Hatteras Yachts/Cabo Yachts clients within our markets,” said Mike Pretasky Jr, president of SkipperBud’s.

SkipperBud’s also has locations in San Diego, Newport Beach, and Sausalito, California, and Seattle, Washington, which were not mentioned as part of the Hatteras/Cabo deal.
