Taiwanese builder hosts Winter Showcase event at new Ft Lauderdale base
Taiwan’s Horizon Yachts celebrated the opening of its second Florida location at the Hall of Fame Marina in Ft Lauderdale last month with a Winter Showcase Open House.
The three-day event (February 15-17) welcomed Horizon clients, friends, and prospective buyers to a private viewing of new and brokerage Horizon models. Nine Horizon yachts were officially on display in the marina, with several other Horizon yachts in attendance.
The new location, says Horizon, will serve as a sales and service office and an extension of the Taiwanese yacht-builder’s US headquarters in Palm Beach.
“We are delighted to open this new Ft Lauderdale office to serve so many of our owners and clients who bring their boats through Ft Lauderdale,” said Roger Sowerbutts, head of Horizon Yacht USA. “We have a great relationship with Hall of Fame Marina so this new office is a welcome extension for our sales and service team.”
The yachts available for private viewings ranged from the new JQB-designed V68 motoryacht to the RP120 superyacht and included several E Series yachts as well as two Cor D Rover-designed FD87 Skyline yachts.
Guests were treated to private tours of the inventory models and brokerage offerings through Horizon’s brokerage partners Yacht Connexion and Allied Marine. Owners of the FD87 yachts were also on hand to showcase their yachts and answer questions.
Horizon Yachts is one of the world’s largest luxury yacht-builders and the number one builder in the Asia-Pacific region. In the past three decades, the company has delivered over 820 yachts, with more than 205 of these over 80ft in length.
