Anchora Enterprises is a maritime service specialist
Global satellite communication specialists KVH have appointed Cape Town-based maritime service Anchora Enterprises as their regional Southern Africa service provider.
Anchora Enterprises is a maritime service specialist offering a complete range of services from VSAT and Fleet Broad Band to vessel sales and maintenance.
Anchora managing director Keith Govender said the company’s appointment came amidst a significant increase in the global demand for Satcom. “Today’s ship owners are recognising the importance of connectivity to improve operational efficiency, safety and crew retention,” Govender said in a joint KVH/Anchora press release published on Anchora’s website.
“It has become a necessity for seafarers to have better communication with their loved ones, as well as access to news and entertainment,” Govender said. “The addition of KVH to our Satcom portfolio offers our clients access to premium, end-to-end connectivity solutions, as well as first-class service and support by our highly skilled technical team,” he added.
Govender said Anchora’s growing team already had extensive experience in the supply, installation and support of KVH products. “We are proud to be associated with a world-leading Satcom brand and honoured to represent KVH in Southern Africa. Congratulations to our team on this significant achievement,” he said.
KVH Industries Regional Sales Manager (Africa), Bron Sykstus, said the appointment of a Southern Africa service provider added to KVH’s global sales and support network. “It is key to identify regional service providers that understand the local market’s needs and challenges, and are well-equipped to offer the high level of support that KVH represents,” Sykstus said. “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Anchora Enterprises as our official service provider for Southern Africa, and we look forward to continue delivering world-class solutions to the industry.”
