US boat dealers idled by the COVID-19 pandemic can fill some of their free time with some free online education.

The Marine Retailers of the Americas (MRAA) is making its entire library of standard training courses available at no charge to any boat dealers or dealership staff who are interested, regardless of MRAA membership.

Dealership growth and success, sales, marketing, customer service, F&I and the service department are all subjects of the 130 education courses, which are normally available for an annual fee of US$1,000.

“Our hope and desire with this offer is that dealers and their teams tap into the truly word-class educational resources that the MRAA provides,” explains Matt Gruhn, MRAA president, in a statement. “With business slowing down, we believe keeping your staff busy with training and education is a great way to set your team up for a quick rebound, and we sincerely want to help dealers and their teams come out of this slowdown stronger than they were when they went in.”

Courses include video, often accompanied by downloadable resources, as well as several publications specific to dealership operations. They feature leading industry experts like Sam Dantzler and Valerie Ziebron.

Last week, the MRAA launched a COVID-19 resource page for dealers to tap into the latest information and refocused its ‘Ask the Expert’ webinar series to give dealers timely insights into how they can adjust their business for ever-changing new climate.
