The German RIB manufacturer’s Ukraine production facility was completely destroyed last month

MS Marine, the German manufacturer of aluminium RIBs and inflatable boats, is reporting record highs in terms of overall revenues and operating profit in 2022 so far. Milan Sterk, managing partner of the company, told IBI he remains confident of the continuing growth, presumably resulting in the best year since the company’s foundation.

The strong performance was not disrupted by the destruction of one MS Marine’s production facilities in Ukraine last month, where part of the moulds for the new project STERK was manufactured. While the incident did hit the company hard morally, the quantified damage was rather small and lies slightly above €100,000.

The MS Marine brands ZAR mini and FISH as well as trademarks GRAND and ZAR Formenti remain unaffected. Despite the current challenging supply chain issues, they have reliably been achieving their record sales this year, MS Marine says.
