Camilleri Marine to represent US firm’s smart switches and sensors in Malta
Blue Guard Innovations (BGI) in the US has chosen Camilleri Marine to distribute the company’s products in Malta.
Established in 1979, Camilleri is strategically located on the Maltese seafront with a certified team of product specialists and engineers to serve the needs of the Mediterranean yachting community.
BGI’s patented range of solid-state smart switches and sensors are able to detect water as well as oil and fuel spills in bilge and engine compartments, preventing them from accidentally discharging overboard.
The BGI range includes the BG-One Smart Bilge Pump Switch, winner of a Pittman Innovation 2019 Award in the Systems category. It was also the winner of the product innovation award in the Mechanical Systems category at IBEX and received a Special Mention at the 2018 DAME Design Awards.
BGI also recently announced the launch of the BG-Link Wireless Boat Monitoring System. The BG-Link gateway and sensors monitor battery banks, high water alarms, bilge pump activations, oil and fuel detectors, fire alarms, temperature, AC shore power connections and security sensors.
