A new mega chandlery has opened on Australia’s Gold Coast as part of The Boat Works’ A$100m investment into expanding the Gold Coast Marine Precinct in Coomera.

The 1,000sq m purpose-built Marine Trade Supplies & Chandlery Superstore is a ‘one-stop’ marine supplies shop for boaters, boatbuilders and trades, with more than 5,000 products on its shelves.

According to The Boat Works, the A$2m superstore represents a milestone in what will be the country’s largest marina and shipyard, generating hundreds of jobs within the Gold Coast Marine Precinct.

The superstore is located on Beattie Road, with main road exposure and its own parking lot and entrance. Products range from accessories and deck hardware, paint, fibreglass, resin, plywood sheeting and thermo-lite board, to a full selection of safety equipment, all detailing supplies, anti-foul, anchors, plumbing, electrical, LED lighting and Australian-made specialist ropes.

“We go to great lengths to stock everything our customers need for vessels of all sizes, powerboats, sailboats, multihulls, recreational and commercial,” says John Lance, owner and director at Marine Trade Supplies. “And if we don’t have it on the shelf, we will get it in with ultra-quick delivery times, often overnight.”

The team at Marine Trade Supplies & Chandlery Superstore says it has the boating background and expertise to handle any request or requirement.

Lance, who has his Master Class 3 and a background helming commercial vessels in Cairns and superyachts in the Mediterranean, leads a team of four full-time marine professionals who are experts in all facets of boats and equipment.
