Electro-technology specialist to work on Royal Huisman’s 55m motoryacht project Phi

Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology in the Netherlands plans to step up collaboration with Royal Huisman after winning a contract to design and install the complete electro-technical system on the Dutch superyacht builder’s 55m motoryacht project Phi.

The company’s sales manager, Piet Roskam, says the Phi project “symbolises our intent for a long-term relationship between the two companies.”

Last month, Piet Brouwer signed a deal that envisages long-term cooperation with Contest Yachts after the Dutch builder commissioned it to design, deliver and install electrical installations on a 67ft and 72ft sailing yacht.

Project Phi is a one-off for Royal Huisman, a specialist in high-performance and classic sailing yachts. The motoryacht will have Van Oossanen Naval Architects’ Fast Displacement XL hull form.
