Growth attributed to new models and new technology

As it prepares for its 60th year, Sea Ray reports it will enter its next decade with “great momentum fuelled by a strong fall [boat show] season.”

“We could not have asked for a better boat show season to affirm dealer and consumer confidence in Sea Ray,” says Brad Anderson, Sea Ray president and general manager, in a company statement.

Sea Ray attributes the strong showing in part to new models and new technology, specifically the recently released SLX 400 Outboard and Sundancer 320 Outboard and the Sun Sport 230 Outboard which debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival and Interboot Expo in Germany.

The company is also touting increased production at its Merritt Island, Florida operations and increased investment in its Tellico plant in Tennessee, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary. Sea Ray honoured 18 employees who have served at that facility since it began operations in 1983.
