UK builder celebrates production of the 100th Manhattan 52
The UK’s Sunseeker International is celebrating the production of 100 Manhattan 52s today, an important milestone for the company’s fastest-selling model.
First introduced at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2016, the Manhattan 52 set an industry benchmark for the smaller flybridge format and a new design direction for the Manhattan range.
In 2017, it won the ‘Best Flybridge under 55ft’ award at the Motor Boat of the Year Awards and the ‘Most Innovative On-Board Design Solution’ for its Beach Club Concept at the IBI-METSTRADE Boat Builder Awards.
“We are thrilled to reach such an important production milestone with the Manhattan 52, a model which remains our fastest selling model in Sunseeker history,” says CEO Andrea Frabetti. “The model has certainly hit a sweet spot with our customers, and we are delighted to have such a strong position in a very important segment of the market.
”This milestone underlines our commitment to producing an unrivalled portfolio of luxury performance motoryachts from 38t-161ft,” he adds.
The Manhattan 52 offers plenty of light and living space throughout. A standout feature is the glass cockpit/galley window that retracts electrically which, alongside bi-fold saloon doors, creates an exceptional inside/outside environment. Thanks to the galley being situated on the main deck, there is space for three very large cabins below, including full-height headroom in the master cabin.
Powered by Volvo Penta D11-725 engines on shaft drive or Volvo Penta IPS-950, the Manhattan 52 can cruise comfortably at 24kt with a cruising range of 250Nm or achieve 33kt at full throttle.
