US firm’s pleasure craft business to be driven by hybrid diesel-electric systems

In the company’s 105-year history, marine revenue had never been more than 40% of Twin Disc’s business through 2018, but that all began to change with that year’s acquisition of Veth Propulsion. Since then, marine represents at least half of the heavy-duty off-highway power transmission equipment manufacturer’s income – 57% in fiscal 2023 – and the market segment is key to future growth.
