AkzoNobel reports profitable 2020 despite Covid-weakened demand

Dutch paint and coatings specialist is now a leaner, financially sharper organisation

AkzoNobel NV, the world’s biggest paints and coatings maker, ended 2020 with Q4 revenues of €2.2bn, down 1% from Q4-2019. Yet its annual report listed a double-digit profit on revenues of €8.5bn, up 8%.
