British-based Informa – a global events organiser and publisher – has turned to investors to raise £1 billion as a defense against the ”significantly deeper, more volatile and wide-reaching impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The British company Informa Group PLC which owns the Monaco, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Palm Beach Yacht Shows, the Suncoast and St Petersburg boat shows in Florida, as well as the Shanghai show has been forced to turn to investors for £1billion in additional funding to help it weather the shutdown of large parts of the world economy, along with boat shows and hundreds of other events it manages…
