Paralimni Marina is expected to be fully operational by mid-2021

Construction has begun on Paralimni Marina in Cyprus, according to the country’s Department of Fisheries and Marine Research.

The marina, which is part of a €110m investment, will have berthing for 300 boats, reports Cyprus Property News. It will be located in the Agios Nikolaos fishing shelter. PMV Maritime Holdings Ltd has obtained permission to manage the marina for a period of 125 years.

“The main feature of the waterfront zone will be a mixed-use development, incorporating a blend of specialty shops, marine sector retail, bars and restaurants,” says the marina operator in a statement. “The residential quarter of the development will comprise a mix of predominantly waterfront apartments with potential to introduce a number of select private villas on the raised land to the rear of the site.”

The facility was designed by London-based firm Harper Downie. The total project area comprises 510,000sq m.

Paralimni Marina is expected to be fully operational by mid-2021.
