Project advances in London to electrify the River Thames

With a growing fleet of electrically propelled commercial vessels plying the Thames, the city plans to use them as batteries to top up the city in peak demand.

A study has entered the alpha stage to see if the increasing number of electric boats using the tidal Thames could be used as an ‘energy store’ for the city
