This year’s event will have 1,000 boats and 1,500 exhibitors from over 60 countries
The 2025 global boat show calendar kicks off in style this weekend with boot Düsseldorf 2025 starting tomorrow (January 17) and running until January 26 at the huge Messe Düsseldorf exhibition complex in Germany. As the world’s largest indoor boat and watersports show, it offers a full range of activities associated with being on, in or under the water.
The boot Düsseldorf 2025 statistics speak for themselves:
- 16 halls across a 220,000m² area
- More than 1,500 exhibitors from over 60 countries
- Over 1,000 boats from canoes and kayaks up to superyachts approaching 30m (100ft) and everything in between such as motor cruisers, day and sports cruisers, all types of sailboats, plus electric craft
- More than 200,000 visitors from over 100 countries
In addition to boats, the show will include charter companies, marinas, refit shipyards, a full range of watersports such as diving and fishing, and holidays etc. A single visit to boot Düsseldorf thus replaces numerous separate trips to different companies.
As one industry observer notes: “When the entire world market is in the same place at the same time at a trade fair like boot, it creates an extremely attractive atmosphere for manufacturers and dealers. In Düsseldorf, we meet exactly our audience to ring in the coming season with the best contacts. For visitors, there is also the unique opportunity to compare the offers of top brands, interesting newcomers and specialists directly with each other.”
A representative from the boat engine sector explains: “I can only recommend a visit to boot in January 2025 to anyone interested. Nowhere else offers a marketplace with this selection.”
In terms of exhibitors, a large number of the leading brands will be represented, although a few such as Fairline Yachts and the Hanse Group (except Fjord) are not exhibiting this year. Manufacturers from Italy lead the way in terms of exhibitors, followed by the Netherlands, France and Britain. Companies from Poland, Austria, the USA, Greece and Turkey will also be present.
The French Beneteau Group will be the largest exhibitor at the trade fair, with stands in Hall 1 (Jeanneau Motorboats, Beneteau and Fourwinns), Hall 4 (Beneteau Outboards, Wellcraft), Hall 6 (Prestige), Hall 13 (Beneteau Concept) and Hall 16 (Beneteau/Jeanneau as well as the catamaran shipyards Excess and Lagoon).
Once again, Groupe Beneteau is the main sponsor of the ‘blue innovation dock’ sustainability forum in Hall 10 at boot 2025. The halls for motorboats and motoryachts read like a ‘top of the top’ of the industry and are fully booked. Affordable, fully equipped motorboats in Hall 3 are of particular interest to beginners. Family-friendly and cosy motoryachts can be found in Hall 1.
Scandinavian market leaders and international innovators are on board in Hall 4, Superboats are in Hall 5, and superyachts in Hall 6. Hall 9 is for all the RIBs in the market.
Engine builders like Honda, Kawasaki, Mercury, Suzuki, Tohatsu, Yamaha are all in Hall 3, and Torqeedo, Volvo Penta and Yanmar in Hall 10. The watersports suppliers extend across Halls 9, 10 and 11 and include equipment and systems, clothing, yacht insurance and more.
In Halls 15 and 16, the focus is on sailing, with exhibitors including X-Yachts, Jeanneau/Beneteau, Dufour, Excess, Hallberg Rassy, Contest, Amel, Saffier, Solaris, Grand Soleil, Lagoon and Bali. Watersports on the action pool in Hall 17 will be wild, fast and spectacular.
All the challenging issues facing the global marine recreation industry will be aired at the blue innovation dock in Hall 10, plus other trends and a high-calibre mix of workshops and hands-on activities, both for leisure sports enthusiasts and experts, building awareness on the current positions.
Marine conservation and innovative, sustainable technologies are just two of the subject areas for the blue innovation dock where, in cooperation with European Boating Industry (EBI), audiences will receive a range of dialogues covering political, economic, technological and media subjects. Groupe Beneteau and Sanlorenzo are the two main sponsors of the dock.
