All eyes in the leisure marine sector will be on south Florida this week as exhibitors find out if positive sales trends seen at other winter shows continue at North America’s largest consumer boating event

Often considered a bellwether for the US recreational boating industry overall, the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show opens tomorrow at six locations across the Greater Miami Area with the hope that positive sales trends witnessed at other North American shows so far this winter will continue at the continent’s largest consumer boating event.

The Miami Boat Show’s annual economic impact is estimated at US$1.3bn

The 2025 Miami show is expected to attract over 100,000 attendees, according to organisers, with more than 1,000 exhibitors displaying a wide range of marine equipment and boats to 265ft in length. The event’s annual economic impact is estimated at US$1.3bn, driven by a strong domestic market and a growing number of international visitors.

“Miami has experienced incredible growth, becoming a global hub that attracts a diverse and dynamic audience,” said Informa Markets’ president of US boat shows, Andrew Doole. “The show provides exhibitors with an opportunity to showcase the best of the industry to a growing international market. Our show is a key event for manufacturers, dealers, and consumers looking to make a purchase that sets the tone for the industry’s year ahead.”

Produced by Informa Markets for the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA), the 2025 Miami International Boat Show runs through Sunday February 16 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Pride Park, Herald Plaza, Venetian Marina, Museum Park Marina and IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami.
