Next year’s Taiwan International Boat Show will have dedicated areas for fishing and diving equipment

In order to promote the recreational boating lifestyle and connect with maritime services as a professional trade platform, the 2020 Taiwan International Boat Show (TIBS) in Kaohsiung will showcase not just the latest yachts, but also the associated lifestyle and all the gear needed for a great time on the water – including fishing and diving equipment for the first time.

Taiwan is located in the subtropical climate zone, surrounded by sea, and has a unique coral reef coastline. In recent years, fishing and diving have become increasingly popular as outdoor leisure pursuits. As a result, the fishing supply and diving equipment markets in Taiwan are said to be booming, especially amongst young consumers who now account for a large proportion of sales and transactions.

Beyond a wide selection of boats, accessories, fishing gear and diving equipment at TIBS 2020, there will also be plenty of educational and entertainment activities at the show.

The growing number of yacht piers being built in Taiwan is increasing the speed of development of the local market and contributing to its evolution as a significant part of Taiwan’s yacht industry cluster. Taiwan is an important trading hub in the Asia-Pacific region, where business can easily expand to locations like Southeast and Northeast Asia. It is also the best platform within Asia itself.

Now in its fourth edition, the 2020 Taiwan International Boat Show will take place from March 12-15 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center in southern Taiwan. Limited exhibitor space is still available. Interested exhibitors should contact the TIBS operations team at boatshow@taitra.org.tw for more information.
