The events will highlight the marine industry’s top priorities at both the state and federal level

This weekend marks the unofficial opening of ‘boat show season’ in the US, and the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is inviting boaters and the industry alike to attend its new advocacy sessions at select boat shows throughout the States.

Spurred on by the current trade and tariff wars, as well as other threats to the industry, the events will highlight the marine industry’s top priorities at both the state and federal level and how individuals can engage in advocacy with instructions about how to contact lawmakers.

The first events – titled “Propelling Our Industry Forward” – will be held in Atlanta and Chicago this week, followed by briefings at the Minneapolis, New York, New England, and Atlantic City boat shows in late January and February.
