The Stockholm International Boat Show, which opened on Saturday, is to close early because of the coronavirus. The show organisers are following the advice of the Swedish government and will end the show tonight. It will not reopen.
The Stockholm show attracted some 78,497 visitors last year. This year there has been an approximate 20% decline due to concerns over the spread of Covid-19.
A statement on the organiser’s website says: “Safety is a top priority for Stockholmsmässan and all our events. We work closely with local authorities year-round to ensure safe events. We are continuously following the updates from the Public Health Agency in Sweden closely and we will act on their recommendations.”
After a very positive start for the Nordic markets with a rise in visitors at both the Gothenburg and Helsinki shows, the Oslo show was cancelled yesterday and now the Stockholm show (Allt för sjön) has ended early.
