Andrea Arcuraci describes the key pillars driving the company’s continued global sales success
FPT Industrial’s offering to the recreational marine market includes a comprehensive range of fuel-efficient propulsion products – delivering high performance, exceptional reliability and broad application versatility.

The Turin-based company’s international reach now embraces more than 100 countries, supported by a global network of around 70 dealers and more than 900 service points.
Its product portfolio includes three engine series – F1, NEF, and CURSOR – ranging from 3 to 15.9 liters and from 100hp up to 1,000hp.
‘Within the F1 series, our S30 engine is perfect for powering any kind of light planing or semi-planing pleasure boat up to 10m (33ft),’ explains Andrea Arcuraci, FPT Industrial’s head of EMEA sales.
‘The NEF series, meanwhile, is our most extensive engine family for both pleasure and professional marine applications up to 18m (58ft), offering four different displacements ranging from 4 to 6.7 liters, and available in both mechanical and electronic versions.
‘And last but not least, our CURSOR engines – designed for recreational boat applications – are ideal for yachts and sport-fishing boats up to 22m (72ft), delivering power from 404 kW to 735 kW, while also offering simple installation, excellent performance, quietness and reliability.’
‘In our journey towards sustainability, we place a strong emphasis on electric solutions as well as on alternative fuels and hydrogen’
Environmental Sustainability
FPT Industrial recently began a partnership with the One Ocean Foundation – an international non-profit promoting the blue economy through nature-positive solutions – by equipping one of its research vessels with two N60 engines to help support the charity’s Mediterranean marine reforestation initiatives.
‘Sustainability is one of the key pillars of our business,’’ explains Arcuraci.
‘We are collaborating with several academic institutions and environmentally-focused startups around the world to help create and develop synergies in the fields of innovation and technological research – partnerships that truly place environmental sustainability at the heart of FPT Industrial’s engineering efforts.
‘This year, for instance, we began working with the Tethys Research Institute, a non-profit dedicated to marine study and conservation, by powering their research vessel with two powerful N67 engines – an upgrade that has revitalized the vessel’s performance, enhancing its operational range and capabilities, and opening new avenues for the Tethys team to advance marine research and protection efforts.

‘The vessel has become indispensable, enabling precise research operations and hands-on restoration work, including the planting of new marine flora to support the long-term recovery of fragile ecosystems.
‘FPT Industrial’s philosophy is to follow a dual-pillar approach: on the one hand, continuing to emphasize the role of internal combustion engines, with increasingly sustainable and multi-fuel solutions; while, on the other hand, continuing to develop a significant and increasingly cross-segment electric lineup, featuring eDrive lines and energy storage systems.’
Green Engineering
When it comes to the future of ‘green’ engineering, Arcuraci is keen to point out that his company is ‘fully committed to concrete actions’.
‘Our electric lineup is a perfect example of this,’ he explains. ‘At the beginning of this year, after several successful years in the on-road segment, we decided to introduce our lineup into the marine sector with the eBS 37 EVO battery pack. This move leverages the economies of scale achieved in the on-road market, bringing a fully tested and refined product into a new sector.
‘It demonstrates our pragmatic approach and how each segment’s portfolio is developed not in isolation, but with openness to others. In doing so, investments in development can create even broader impacts.
‘In our journey towards sustainability, we place a strong emphasis on electric solutions, as well as on alternative fuels and hydrogen.’

Global Outlook
FPT International is also coping well with the current international economic uncertainties, such as Trump’s tariffs and the rising costs of energy and raw materials – critical factors that are affecting the entire global industrial and manufacturing sector.
‘Fortunately, our worldwide presence allows us to always respond promptly to mitigate the affects of economic challenges,’ say Arcuraci.
‘Being part of Iveco Group means that there are strong synergies between our company and other Iveco Group brands. Many of our engines and products from the ePowertrain line-up power IVECO vehicles – playing a key role in defining their renowned reliability and efficiency.’
Proud Heritage
‘FPT Industrial has a proud heritage of more than 60 years in the marine propulsion sector,” concludes Arcuraci.
‘Leveraging this, while continuing to evolve the dedicated marine engine line-up, allows us to focus our efforts firmly on the pleasure marine market – enhancing both product development and the reach of our customer and service network near major ports and shipyards.’
