Ultra-thin solar decking

The solar skin can bend and is attached firmly to the hull using 3M’s Very High Bond (VHB) foam-backed adhesive. The product is being promoted for autonomous vessels where the panels can be easily blended into the shape of the hull.

The Canadian company Open Waters Solar has created a 1.2mm thick PV panel which can be incorporated into the deck or cabin top.
