AIMEX has announced the appointment of Susie Hill as operations manager. Hill takes on the role following the resignation of Victoria Smith, who has worked for AIMEX and Superyacht Australia for the past four years. Smith has decided to move into another industry sector to further her career.

In her new role, Hill will take over responsibility for the superyacht sector, the ASMEX conference, sales and marketing and membership services.

“Susie comes from a strong background in the superyacht sector having spent seven years working within the industry overseas," says AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards. "She will bring excellent knowledge and skills to AIMEX and Superyacht Australia and be a great compliment to the team.”

Edwards has also announced the promotion of Justyna Wajler to commercial manager. Wajler has been working for AIMEX as financial manager for the past three years. She will be responsible for industry research, AIMEX and Superyacht Australia awards programme, managing government grants and the association’s finances and currently leading the trade mission to Turkey and Dubai.

Commenting on the appointment, Richard Chapman, president of AIMEX, says: “We will certainly miss Victoria who has been a great asset to AIMEX and Superyacht Australia and we wish her well in her new career.   AIMEX & Superyacht Australia continues to go from strength to strength and it is critical we have a highly skilled and motivated team on board to drive opportunities and provide services to our growing membership base.  The board is excited by the appointment of Susie and Justyna’s promotion. Susie and Justyna will be supported by Emily Simpson as office coordinator.”
