The Australian International Marine Export Group, AIMEX, has organised a series of four seminars designed to give members the skills to be competitive when bidding on contracts and to better articulate their business capability.
The seminars, held throughout June, were organised by AIMEX in conjunction with the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science Entrepreneurs’ Programme and have been very well received.
According to AIMEX, target numbers for all seminars have been reached with particular interest coming from Queensland and Western Australia.
“One of the key issues members across all of our industry sectors face is understanding how to be successful in bidding for government contracts and tendering for work,” says AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards. “It is felt that the big companies always win and the small to medium-sized businesses don’t get a chance with these opportunities.
"AIMEX want to ensure all businesses get access to these government contracts and have a good understanding of how to best approach this. These seminars are designed to do exactly that.”
The seminars will be held in Tasmania, Sydney, Perth and the Gold Coast. Most sessions will include site tours and all will finish with a networking event.
