ARI said it had launched a new website program called WebsiteSmart. ARI has dealer and OEM clients in the marine, powersports, and other vertical industries. It provides e-commerce websites, lead-generation tools, online catalogues and other services.
“WebsiteSmart is designed to help dealers sell more new and used inventory, parts and service,” said Brad Smith, product manager, in a statement. “It makes it easy for prospects and customers to look up and purchase parts and accessories, using ARI’s library of more than 90 automatically updated OEM and aftermarket catalogues — all without leaving the dealership’s website.”
Smith said the application has several special features, including a universal search option with AutoComplete to locate products faster. Its “MyInventory” feature also displays new, used, and rental inventory across multiple locations as well as gathering leads from potential customers.
Quincy Dawkins, an account manager at Otto Paap Outdoor Power, said his firm sold several over-stock pieces of equipment using the tool in a few weeks. “We had been trying to sell them for the last two years,” he said in the statement.
The company has also provided ARI Web Performance Coaches to instruct dealers on web page layout and ways to maximize returns. “We want to make sure that our clients make the most of all the features on every page of their website to stand out from the competition,” said Christine Ponder, a member of the team. “This lets them consistently increase their Web-generated sales."
