The new Pirelli 1900 from Tecnorib will be making its official debut at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival 2017, which opens tomorrow for its six-day run. Designed by Mannerfelt Design Team, the new flagship has a resin-infused hull and 100% carbon hardtop, designed to lower the centre of gravity and improve performance.

The Pirelli 1900 reprises the lines of the previous Pirelli 1400, but reinterprets them from a new perspective, with a greater focus on the development of communal areas. The main feature is the design of the carbon hardtop, which extends aft to protect the cockpit. There is also a huge sun lounging area in the bow, while in the stern, the entire cockpit area can be customised.

The hull has been designed to offer high performance without compromising on comfort: it isn’t particularly narrow, which allows for an interior height of up to 2m. In the engine room, two 800hp MAN 16 engines with surface-piercing propellers are coupled with Top System transmissions for a top speed of 45kt.

The basic layout features two cabins and the central living area, containing the galley, a dinette that can be transformed into an additional berth, and a dining table. The owner’s cabin is in the bow. In the stern is the guest cabin, a head and a big and extremely practical technical storage compartment that, in a second solution available (the one appearing at Cannes), is replaced by a third cabin for the crew.

Together with the new boat, other models from the classic range will also be on display at Cannes – the Pirelli 880, Pirelli 1100 and Pirelli 1400.
