UK East coast chandlery Seamark Nunn has completed a 225,000 expansion of its operation in response to a continued growth in online sales from its website.

The investment provides space to stock the 20,000 products sold via the web and over the counter. Seamark Nunn's showroom in Felixstowe has also undergone a complete refit, nearly doubling in size as a result of the investment.

The enlarged premises increases the range of clothing and leisure wear available, together with more display room for an extensive range of dinghy, yacht and powerboat hardware. Outboard engine sales and servicing have been brought into the main showroom as part of the refurbishment programme.

"On a national level the expansion benefits our online customers because we can hold a far bigger range and quantity of stock," said Andrew Nunn, managing director of Seamark Nunn.

Seamark Nunn now employs 13 staff and website sales account for 40 per cent of turnover.
