Confindustria Nautica outlines current working status
A spokesperson for the Italian trade association Confindustria Nautica has given IBI an update on the current situation on the ground in Italy:
”The decree issued on the evening of March 11 by the Italian Prime Minister provides that from today until March 25th retail businesses will remain closed, except for the sale of food and essentials (e.g. pharmacies, banks, petrol stations).
The manufacturing and professional activities remain active, with the recommendation to shift every possible job to smart working and to activate all the anti-contagion security protocols required, including the respect of the minimum safety distance and the sanitization of premises.
In the boating sector, yards and manufacturing sites, technical assistance centres and professional activities that are not open to the public can therefore continue to operate. Dealers and retail activities must be kept closed. For marinas, access to the public is not possible because a previous decree limits the trips to those essential for work and medical care.
