The new Voyager program was unveiled at last week’s Ft Lauderdale show
The Association of Bahamas Marinas (ABM) has launched an initiative to drive more boat traffic to the island nation as well increase boating participation by its citizens. The Voyager program, unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), offers participants discounts, cruising guides and invitations to special events.
Benefits will be available at participating ABM marinas and allied businesses in The Bahamas, the US, and internationally with a portion of the membership fees allocated to supporting the environmental protection work of the Bahamas National Trust and the Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation.
The annual US$75 membership fee includes discounts for dockage, hotel, food and guided excursions in the islands, while within the US and abroad members receive discounts on fuel, dockage, service and repairs at participating marinas, up to 40% discounts on lodging and car rental, trip planning services, navigation alerts, fuel dock locators and online marina reservations and concierge services.
The Voyager program will also be organising discounted boating “flings” for groups traveling from the US to The Bahamas.
