Chinese company Tian Yu and German hotel chain Maritim have signed a deal to construct a summer resort in Szczecin, Poland that will include a marina with 200 berths.

The new facility will be located on the shores of Dąbie lake, in the northwest of the country. It will form part of the Hot Spring Bay resort.

The marina project is being developed by the Sun & Sail foundation. Of the 200 berths that are to be constructed, about 100 will be intended for craft of up to 10ft, and a further 100 for craft of up to  15ft, according to data from the investor.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.

“Marina Dąbie will be an openly accessible facility, and it will become an attractive element of the Western Pomeranian Sailing Trail that currently consists of close to 40 marinas from Gryfino to Darłowo,” the investor said in a statement.

The foundation was established by Tian Yu and Recca Investment, a Szczecin-based company set up by the Chinese investors.
