Eiffage has secured a concession to operate the Baie des Anges marina

French civil engineering construction firm Eiffage has secured a concession to operate the Baie des Anges marina on the French Mediterranean coast for a period of 30 years. Under the plan, the business will invest some €63.6m (US$70.5m) with the aim of modernising the facility, which is currently fitted with 527 berths.

Starting on 1 January 2021, Eiffage is to take over the marina, reports local news site TPBM-presse.com. The investments are to be carried out during the first four years of the concession.

The overhauled facility is to offer 515 berths to seafarers who will also be offered accommodation at a four-star hotel with 65 rooms, a restaurant and other retail facilities. To finance and carry out the planned works, Eiffage will team up with local companies Banque des Territoires and Sodeports.

Located in the southeastern Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, the marina is ideally located between Nice and Antibes.

For 2018, Eiffage reported revenues of €16.6bn (US$18.4bn).
