Florida marina now has a total capacity of 155 boats from 35ft-120ft plus a 150ft face dock for transient boaters
Suntex Marinas and Meeco Sullivan have completed expansion of the former’s Vero Beach Marina; the second Florida project and fourth overall the two companies have completed in 2018.
The expansion added 23 open slips from 40ft-60ft, with two 120ft T-heads and 300ft of connecting docks, giving the full-service marina a total capacity of 155 boats from 35ft-120ft plus a 150ft face dock for transient boaters. The project also included a customized floating dock to accommodate the weight of the electrical substation.
The first docks were completed in mid-June. Given the limited and tight access areas around the marina, and to complete the project amid normal marina operations, Meeco Sullivan had to carefully plan and manage the dock delivery and construction process to meet the completion deadline.
